Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance | Sunday, August 18

Regarded as the world’s premier celebration of the automobile, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance returns to the famed 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links. Founded in 1950, the event is not a contest of speed, but of elegance. Automobiles are judged for their style, technical merit, history, originality and accuracy of preservation and restoration. The 73rd annual event will celebrate an expanded range of cars stretching from pioneering Packards to the supercars of the 1990s. Car collectors and enthusiasts come from across the globe for this unforgettable celebration, which also hosts some of the most anticipated concepts and new car debuts. Monterey Jazz Festival | Friday, September 27 – Sunday, September 29

Since 1958, the nonprofit Monterey Jazz Festival has celebrated America’s creativity and cultural heritage, presenting legendary jazz musicians, composers and young rising stars. The festival is the longest continuously-running jazz festival in the world and has presented nearly every major jazz artist, from Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday and Miles Davis to contemporary masters Herbie Hancock, Norah Jones and Esperanza Spalding.
